HARAJUKU ALLEY at D1GP!

D1GP has just announced the creation of “Harajuku Alley” at their event in Anaheim on May 2. This will be a space devoted to the J-Scene and will be a place for Cosplay, J-Fashion, ParaPara, J-Music, and most importantly, FUN! Here is what is planned so far:

-FASHION SHOW-
Show off your street style for a chance to win cash prizes! Find out more HERE!

-TUNE IN TOKYO-
Tune in Tokyo Club – LA’s first all-Japanese music dance club – will be playing all your favorite music all day!

-JROCK REVOLUTION MEETUP-
Visit the JrockRevolution.com booth and say hello to all our members! Stay tuned for more exciting information!

-VIP TENT-
All attendees who come dressed up in Harajuku street fashion or Cosplay will have access to the Harajuku Alley VIP Tent.

-AND THAT’S NOT ALL!-
D1GP is estimating 10,000 attendees. Also, Fox is going to be covering the event in a 1 hour special which provides a potential audience of 42 million viewers. With the creation of “Harajuku Alley” at the D1GP event, Fox will likely do some kind of segment about the emerging scene/subculture during their program. We need the people from the J-scene to come out to make it a success!

Liz Ohanesian and Shannon Cottrell will be covering the event for LA Weekly’s Style Council blog.

It’s an amazing opportunity to break down barriers and bring people together! Like DJ SiSeN said about why he loved Tokyo Decadence:

In Japan, there’s the gothic lolita style, there’s the gothic industrial style, there are all these different kinds of styles that each have their unique culture. There are so many walls built up between them…Tokyo Decadence…broke down these walls, so everybody could come together and be this great co-habitation. I really, really enjoy that, because when you’re living in your own world it’s very boring.

-DON’T FORGET!-
