YOSHIKI has several monumental accomplishments under his belt both as the
leader of X JAPAN and as an accomplished solo artist. He has been named
“one of the most influential musicians and composers in Japanese history” by
Consequence of Sound and has composed Hollywood film soundtracks, a
concerto for the Emperor of Japan, and the official theme song for the Golden
Globe Awards. He has performed at the world’s greatest stages including
Madison Square Garden, Wembley Arena, Coachella Music Festival, and
Carnegie Hall. In addition to his music, YOSHIKI has been internationally
recognized for his philanthropy, and was awarded a Medal of Honor by the
Japanese government.

HYDE is internationally recognized as the vocalist for L’arc-en-Ciel, VAMPS,
and as a successful solo artist. L’Arc-en-Ciel has sold over 40 million albums
worldwide, headlined Madison Square Garden, and were also the first rock band
to headline Japan National Stadium. HYDE has also had great success touring
internationally as a solo artist.

SUGIZO has worked and performed globally as a member of LUNA SEA, X
JAPAN, and U.K.’s JUNO REACTOR, a group credited with creating
psychedelic trance. As a solo artist he has been pursuing his unique style of
electronic music while creating for multiple movie and theater soundtracks.

MIYAVI “The Samurai Guitarist” has enthralled the world with his transcendent
unconventional “slap style” of playing his guitar, which has taken him around
the world 9 times to tour in over 30 countries. In 2014 he made his debut as a
Hollywood actor in Unbroken. He was the first Japanese public figure to be
featured in GUCCI’s global campaign, and has been appointed as a Goodwill
Ambassador for UNCHR, providing support for refugees.

With their illustrious experience in Japan’s most influential rock bands,
remarkable sales records individually, and hit collaborations with global artists,
these four musicians coming together is a monumental occurrence. THE LAST
ROCKSTARS are here to usher in a new legendary era of rock.

About THE LAST ROCKSTARS
THE LAST ROCKSTARS is a rock band comprised of four living legends who
have each made their mark on Japan’s rock history. YOSHIKI (X JAPAN),
HYDE (L’Arc-en-Ciel, VAMPS), SUGIZO (LUNA SEA, X JAPAN) and MIYAVI –
these four reigning stars are here to take on the world with a shared vision to
be THE LAST ROCKSTARS.
YOSHIKI (drums, piano)
YOSHIKI is a composer, classically-trained pianist, rock drummer, and leader
of the rock group X Japan. YOSHIKI was named “one of the most influential
musicians and composers in Japanese history” by Consequence of Sound and
is described by Billboard Magazine as “a musical innovator.”
YOSHIKI has sold over 30 million albums and singles and has sold out the
55,000-seat Tokyo Dome a record-breaking 18 times with his band X Japan. He
has performed at the world’s greatest stages including Madison Square Garden,
Wembley Arena, Coachella Music Festival, and Carnegie Hall. YOSHIKI has
composed Hollywood film soundtracks, a concerto for the Emperor of Japan,
and the official theme song for the Golden Globe Awards.

YOSHIKI is a fashion icon and was the first Japanese male to appear on the
cover of Vogue Japan. In 2022, YOSHIKI formed a business partnership with
Coca-Cola Japan to launch the energy drinks Real Gold X and Real Gold Y. As
the founder of Yoshiki Foundation America, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization,
he has been internationally recognized as one of Forbes Asia’s “30 Heroes of
Philanthropy”.

HYDE (vocals)
HYDE is internationally recognized as the vocalist for L’arc-en-Ciel, VAMPS,
and as a successful solo artist. L’Arc-en-Ciel has sold over 40 million albums
worldwide, headlined Madison Square Garden, and were also the first rock band
to headline Japan National Stadium. HYDE has also had great success touring
internationally as a solo artist.

SUGIZO (guitar, violin)
Composer, guitarist, violinist, vocalist, and producer, SUGIZO has worked and
performed globally as a member of LUNA SEA, X JAPAN, and U.K.’s JUNO
REACTOR, a group credited with creating psychedelic trance. As a solo artist
he has been pursuing his unique style of electronic music while creating for
multiple movie and theater soundtracks.

SUGIZO has captivated audiences at Madison Square Garden and Wembley
Arena, and has performed at the Tokyo Dome an astounding 15 times. As a
solo artist he has been pursuing his unique style of electronic music, while
creating for multiple movie and theater soundtracks. When he was appointed
as the music producer for the 2019 Mobile Suit Gundam’s 40th Anniversary
Project, his contribution expanded beyond music, because of his deep
knowledge of Gundam. In 2020, he revived his psychedelic jam band SHAG
after a 12 year hiatus. In 2022, he launched his apparel brand “THE ONENESS”,
proposing rock & ethical fashion towards a carbon-neutral and environmentally
conscious society, while maintaining a high standard of beauty. SUGIZO is
renowned as an activist who, along with his music, actively supports efforts for
peace, human rights, refugee support, renewable energy, environmental
protection, and disaster relief.

MIYAVI (guitar)
MIYAVI enthused the world as a guitarist with his transcendent unconventional
style of playing his electric guitar, called “slap style”, in which he plays with his
fingers without using a pick. He has 9 successful world tours under his belt, as
well as over 400 live shows in 30 countries.

MIYAVI is known for his unique energetic live performance and has performed
the National Anthem at Dodger Stadium in Summer 2019 for MLB’s Dodgers
vs. Angels game, has given incredible opening performances at Paris Saint-
Germain Japan Tour 2022 at Japan National Stadium, and at the NBA JAPAN

GAMES 2022 at Saitama Super Arena.
As an actor, MIYAVI has appeared in multiple hit movies from Hollywood’s
Unbroken, Kong: Skull Island, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Netflix’s Kate,
Japanese movies BLEACH, Hell Dogs, and as a voice actor in TV Series
Arcane.

MIYAVI has been active globally as the first Japanese public figure to be
featured in GUCCI’s global campaign, and has been appointed as a Goodwill
Ambassador for UNCHR, providing support for refugees.
