Tune in Tokyo Presents Shibuya Meltdown Summer Dance Party

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 25th, 2010)—On Sunday, July 4th, 2010 Tune in Tokyo presents the Shibuya Meltdown Summer Dance Party at 2nd Street Jazz! Celebrate your July 4th holiday with a tribute to J-fashion & summer style at LA’s destination for global pop.

Offering the best in Little Tokyo nightlife, Tune in Tokyo is LA’s only J-Pop, J-Rock, & K-Pop club event—THE perfect way to end the holiday weekend!

DJs Greg Hignight, Del, Tora, Ally, Yuki, and Leett will be spinning the best in Asian dance pop all night long, joined by special guest DO NOT FEED THE DJ, spinning Indie-electro mashups! The event will be hosted by the Diamond Gal Circle, who will be holding a summer fashion contest! If you’re tired of cosplay, here’s your chance to switch gears! Gyaru-style, yukata, and beach wear encouraged!

The event is supported by LA’s one-and-only Anime Jungle & The Cure Shop, the destination in Little Tokyo for anime and J-Rock. Jungle specializes in figures, robots, t-shirts, accessories, CDs, Lolita and Jrock fashion, live action & anime DVDs, and all kinds of interesting Japanese collectibles!

The Shibuya Meltdown Summer Dance Party runs from 9 PM – 2 AM, ages 18+ will be admitted. There is a $10 cover (this includes a drink ticket worth $5 at the bar, ID policy will be strictly enforced. Sodas and non-alcoholic drinks are available). 2nd Street Jazz is located at 366 E 2nd Street, Los Angeles, California (corner of 2nd and Central in Little Tokyo). There is plenty parking available, but please make sure to check garage hours and street parking signs. We also suggest, with safety in mind, that you restrict your parking to north of 3rd street.
