If you’re a fan of Attack on Titan, get ready, because this is not a drill. The official Attack on Titan concert has been announced, and it’s bringing an epic celebration of music and anime to fans around the world. We’re talking live music, stunning visuals, and the kind of immersive experience that makes you feel like you’ve been dropped right into the world of the Titans themselves.
What Is This Concert All About?
This is a fully immersive concert experience, a fusion of rock and orchestral music, captivating vocal performances, and breathtaking visuals designed to transport attendees straight into the heart of the Attack on Titan universe. And the music? It’s the real deal. The concert features the internationally acclaimed soundtrack composed by Hiroyuki Sawano (Seasons 1, 2, 3, and The Final Season) and Kohta Yamamoto (The Final Season), showcasing iconic tracks that define the series, including “at’aek ON taitn,” “counter・attack-mankind,” “Apple Seed,” and “Footsteps of Doom.”
Just as in Japan, the music will be performed by powerful world-class rock musicians joined by a full symphonic orchestra, accompanied by synchronized scenes from the anime series, bringing its emotional weight and intensity directly into the concert hall. Yeah, it’s going to be that kind of experience.
A Word From the People Behind It
The people who made Attack on Titan what it is are genuinely excited about this. Anime producer Tetsuya Kinoshita said he’s been trying to make overseas concerts a reality for many years, and described it as a program that will allow fans to enjoy the world of Attack on Titan to the fullest, using anime footage and original materials, with specially designed concert merchandise to boot.
Composer Hiroyuki Sawano called the AoT soundtrack a very important part of his musical career and said he believes the concert is a great opportunity to reunite fans with the anime one more time. Composer Kohta Yamamoto added that while he and Sawano can’t join the tour in person, the concert has been supervised by both of them, including the setlist, so fans can expect it to be performed just as it was in Japan.
About Attack on Titan, In Case You Need a Refresher
Attack on Titan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. Since its debut in 2009, it has become a global phenomenon, renowned for its complex storytelling and emotional depth.
The story takes place in a world where grotesque giants known as Titans appeared a century ago and consumed all but the last remnants of humanity, who took refuge behind giant walls. It follows a boy named Eren Yeager, whose childhood dream of exploring the world beyond those walls becomes an all-too-real nightmare when the Titans return.
The numbers speak for themselves: Attack on Titan has become one of the best-selling manga series of all time, with 140 million copies sold worldwide, and the anime TV series (which ran from 2013 to 2023) is still one of the most-watched anime series of all time, available on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
