After the Tokyopop Gothic&Lolita release party had ended, Krystal, her local lolita friend, and myself went out to a restaurant.  It was more of me wanting to eat in Little Tokyo, and the others didn't mind.  We normally don't get the chance to eat in Little Tokyo, so I was able to take advantage of that.

I wanted to eat somewhere that was still a part of the same plaza where the release party was held because the restaurants were better than ones elsewhere.  I swayed towards the Curry House, but Krystal and I had that the last time we came to Little Tokyo, so we decided to eat shabu shabu at Kushi Shabu! For those who do not know what Shabu Shabu is, it's a Japanese dish that contains vegetables and meat which are boiled into a pot filled with water, that you can openly take food out, dip in sauce and dig in.  Think of it similar to a fondue dish.

We were looking forward to it, because we ordered an all-you-can-eat beef shabu plate, which came with dessert!

Doesn't it look delicious~? I don't know about you, but seeing this picture reminds me of a typical alice nine. blog entry! haha~

We had about six plates of that beef, ガ━━Σ(゚Д゚|||)━━ン!! but we managed to keep our appetites for the dessert. They served us anmitsu, which was a cup of fermented red bean, honey, fruit, and jelly.  It was good, until we lost the ability to eat after seeing our bill. ( ̄~ ̄;)ウーン・・・ It was a lot more than we had ever expected, but luckily we were able to cover the costs and leave a decent tip.  I was actually able to have shabu shabu in Japan once, and I could definitely taste the difference, and I realize that I prefer the shabu shabu in Japan.

After dinner, we dropped Krystal's friend off and arrived home, where we then created this little masterpiece below.

As you can see, it's a pyramid of about 50-something strawberry-flavored pocky.  Now don't get the wrong idea, we neither stole nor bought any of this, as it was actually from the Tokyopop Gothic&Lolita release party.  They were serving strawberry pocky, strawberries, and refreshments and at the end of the party, they had an excess of pocky left over, and we ended up just taking it off their hands (They were rather happy about it too!).(`ー´)ヘヘーン  It's been a few days since we got all this pocky, and we still have quite a bit left over.

I think I'll get some now! (*≧▽≦)

I was down in San Diego on Sunday for my cousin's graduation!

As expected, it was really sunny but with a cool breeze down there.

The commencement took place outside so many people wore hats and brought umbrellas and such.

But they said that everyone had to take their umbrellas down during the commencement.  (丿;Д;)丿

So everyone was baking in the sun. (>o<)

I managed to make it out alive!

The commencement was like many other graduations.  Long processions and lots of talking.  It was a bit difficult to enjoy under the hot sun.  I bet all the graduates were dripping with sweat under their gowns!

Anyway, my cousin has my congratulations.♥

Yesterday I was without internet for almost the entire day!  “o(><)o”くう~!

It's somehow working right now, so I'm hoping it was just a temporary thing.  We may need to get a new modem. (" ̄д ̄)けっ!

At least the heat has simmered down a bit here in SoCal!

wiltern theatre in los angelesOne year ago, I was in pain. Quite a bit of pain from bad shoes, and sleeping outside for a couple nights. That weekend though, I had accidentally began walking on a new brick road...was that really a year ago? Yes, it was the 26th. Many people ask how I got involved in with Jrock Revolution. At the time, I was attempting a business adventure, and while trying to contact YOSHIKI via a letter, I ended up meeting the head of Jrock Revolution. He liked my writing and asked me to write a report, which is the Fan's Perspective up on our site today. (You may also hear that there is footage of me singing Miyavi songs on camera, but that footage will never ever see the light of day.)
