VAMPS will be opening for DANZIG on September 22nd at the Warfield in San Francisco. The band is currently on tour in support of their current album UNDERWORLD (out now) which features collaborations with members of Rammstein, Apocalyptica, & Motionless in White among others.
“VAMPS‘ musicianship and showmanship is equaled only by their humility, and I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of my career.” – Nikki Sixx, Motley Crue & Sixx: A.M.
“These guys are the personification of Japanese rock, with high energy and a style and sound that transcends language – they do both Japanese and English songs.” – USA Today
UNDERWORLD, produced by Howard Benson (Papa Roach, Chris Cornell) and Kane Churko (In This Moment, Five Finger Death Punch) out now on Eleven Seven Records. UNDERWORLD features 11 songs amongst them 3 collaborations: ‘INSIDE OF ME’ feat. Chris Motionless, ‘RISE OR DIE’ feat. Richard Z. Krusp and ‘SIN IN JUSTICE’ with Apocalyptica from Finland. In true VAMPS fashion, the new album covers the full spectrum from rock radio contenders like new single ‘CALLING’ and instantly catchy signature VAMPS choruses on ‘RISE UP’ to dark, heavy sounding tunes such as the album’s title track, ‘UNDERWORLD,’ as well as the anthemic ‘B.Y.O.B (Bring Your Own Blood)’.
VAMPS, the visually arresting rock band featuring HYDE (L’Arc-en-Ciel) and K.A.Z (Oblivion Dust), are one of the most popular bands in Japanese music.
Since forming in 2008, they have released three studio albums and four live DVDs, all of them showcasing the band’s signature approach to their craft: grand-scale theatrics and drama married to expert playing and song-writing – a potent combination that has led to them playing hundreds of shows at in their home country, taking over Japanese arenas for multiple nights in a row, a series of annual Vamps-curated festivals (including their legendary Halloween event and late summer Beast Party) and growing a global fan-base dedicated to both the band’s music and message.
