YOSHIKI — composer, classically-trained pianist, rock drummer, and leader of the rock group X Japan — will return to Japan Expo in Paris on July 5, 2019, for a special performance in celebration of the event’s 20th anniversary.

Last year, YOSHIKI composed the Attack on Titan theme song “Red Swan”, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Rock Charts in 10 countries, becoming the first Japanese anime song in history to achieve this rank.

The song “Red Swan” continues to inspire hundreds of cover versions from fans uploaded to YouTube in multiple languages from around the world. “Red Swan” has received international media acclaim, featured on CNNMSN, and winning Best Japanese Artist and Top Japanese Gold Song in Hong Kong’s 30th International Pop Poll.

YOSHIKI has also composed anime themes for Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary, Buddha: The Great Departure, and X by CLAMP. In the world of comic books, he collaborated with the late Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee to create the series Blood Red Dragon, based on YOSHIKI. He is currently composing the soundtracks for the animated feature Spycies and the Hollywood film xXx 4 starring Vin Diesel.

YOSHIKI posted a short message on his Instagram for fans in France.
“J’ai hâte de revoir mes fans à Paris. Can’t wait to see my fans in #Paris again.”
